This article is from today, anyone know if they're getting the same gen we have on X5/X6/X7?

As in the M5 is getting a new gen, or is it saying M5 is getting something totally new (not on any other BMW)?

This is the exact system we have now. We X5/X7/M8 are already using the top level laser lights. The M5 doesn’t currently get any laser light option. The article is stating the M5 will get our lights in the next gen.

That's what I thought. I'm obsessed with our system. Best headlights I've ever had. Someone on another post figured out how to catch only the blue trim illuminated and this photo makes me happy.

Strange the article did not mention the current BMW models that already have the laser headlight system.

Yeah that's why I posted. Was curious!

Looking forward to it however dismayed that it will have to operate at half power given the idiotic US DOT requirements.

G05 gets latest laser lights possible and the M5 certainly can have laser lights as an option. These are essentially the same lights as the lasers on the ore LCI 7 series (also latest spec)
