Anybody tried this intake in the picture below?

I planned to buy the CTS intake but then I found a huge sale on the AFE intake so I kind changed my mind and thinking to buy the AFE but haven't seen any video on this particular intake.

What do you all think?

I know I brought this topic many times but still not sure. Thanks

what was the difference in price between the two?

i recently went with cts turbo intake for my n55, having watched a few videos and read many threads... it was highly recommended.

CTS is $297 MSRP is $330
AFE is $323 MSRP is $420

I know I was going with CTS but once i saw this discount on the AFE i kinda changed my mind but it looks nobody have tried this particular AFE intake in the picture.

to be honest, the gains from intake are so minimal, unless you have cash to burn, i would go with the cts turbo, the sound is really nice, MST also sounds great but its more money than afe and cts if im not mistaken.

i dont recall seeing many afe videos. (sound clips)

Correct. But for Black Friday, it's only $30 difference between CTS and AFE.

thats still $30 dollars more than you need to spend, again esp since the gains are so minimal, anything else i would probably do more research....

PS if you talk to mike from n54tuning, he can do it for $282, but dont quote me! lol

How much you paid for your CTS?

I think AFE has a better design but I don't think it will sound good as the CTS, again just thinking not sure..

$282, BUT i bought a bunch of stuff from him at the same time, so maybe thats why (cp, dp, intake, bm3, fmic)

eitherway, wouldnt hurt to ask him.

as far as design, because the intake does so little performance wise, it wouldnt really make a difference, the most it does it slight HP gains, its really for the sound. check a few threads and you will see a pattern.

intake is never at the top of anyones mod list, most just replace the dry air filter, personally i love the sound, only reason i bought it.. ya i like the few extra hp gain, but for that money it DEF not worth it..... the honest truth.
