Low coolant sensor came on but coolant level fine

Car has 6,700 miles. Warning came on today to fill coolant because it was low. Got to my location, popped the hood and checked the level and it was fine. Started the car again and warning went away. Any idea what caused it:

Any recent substantial drop in temp ? if so - a very typical anomaly for BMW sensors. Visually inspect coolant tank/s (depending on your configuration there could be two of 'em)

Yes! It has been super cold here in SoCal and the sensor triggers on cold startup. After driving for a few minutes then turning off and back on, the warning light goes away.

I checked the one tank. Didn't know there was a second one.

^ I think you'll find it super helpful " ... The large one is for the engine cooling system and the small one is for the turbo cooling system."

well, if its a re-occurring event - keep your eye on it, as well as the engine's temp

Well after all my concerns my car actually WAS low on coolant. The dealership topped it off and I'm good to go.
