Ok, this might be an isolated incident, but I can tell you that I am not happy for two reasons:

1. Based on what I have read, I overpaid by about 100 bucks for an AFE intake
2. Said intake is not here after more than two weeks - UPS tracking number given shows only "Billing information Recieved"


Longer story: After reading about people's satisfaction with AFE intake, I went to http://afepower.com, and their front page item is the BMW TT intake, (http://www.afefilters.com/productrev...72/5411472.htm) I go through the order process, and pay $418 for the oiled intake set.

I get e-mails from "Shopatron" and "Tsunami Power" on the fulfillment of my order, indicating it was recieved, and has been shipped - tracking number and all.

I try over and over to track on UPS and get nothing but the billing info collected..

I send e-mails to tsunami, shopatron and afe, and get a run around, and no update on where my order is. So I ask for it to be cancelled, and I get "we'll get back to you when we check with fulfillment" this is 3 days ago.

So my money is gone, I have no intake, and now, I feel like avoiding AFE alltogether, if for nothing else but principle!

I recommend at least avoiding purchase through afepower.com they are overpriced and can't get product to customers.

Why didnt you buy it from a vendor on here? Why would you go straight to the manufacturer and pay retail? You caused problems for yourself IMO... BPS sells these and had stock, Trinity autosports was selling them for $320 and had them in stock... You should do some research on products before you buy them...

Sorry bro. That sucks, but don't feel alone on overpaying for the intake alot of people did (got mine from joe @ trinityauto for 319), it is probably a logistical error get your money back and get it cheaper from another vendor and have it in 3-4 days

Thanks for the feedback.

I'll do some more research next time. I wanted to put the word out so people knew what it could be like going to the mfg, I got the link from a post on the site and didn't do any extra due-dilligence, was an impulse buy.. shame on me.

Did you use your credit card? If so, then you can dispute the charge (if your cc was in fact charged upon supposed shipping of product) and get a full refund. If you used PayPal, Bank Check, or other form of payment, then sorry, but shame on you...live and learn. G/L.

Ya I honestly don't see what the issue is. It's not like the part is installed in your car already. It's not there yet - refuse it or send it back and get your money back and order it from a vendor here.

They are working on it with AFE to be MADE?????? WTF?

Do you know if they are still selling them for $320?On their website the price is $399.Is there a groupbuy or a link for the members of the forum?

Their Web site shows an $80 off coupon code for you to use during the order process; the $80 is subtracted automatically.
