0-60 times for X5 vs X6
Why is 0-60 time of 2020 X6 xDrive40i (5.3 secs) slower than that of 2020 X5 xDrive40i (4.9 secs) when weight of X6 is less and engines are same?

I would take all of those times with a grain of salt. I know people on here were discussing BMW's posted times were a little slower than real world time. There did not seem to be any difference when I had X6 40i as a longer while my X5 40i was in the shop. I wouldn't worry, but definitely drive both and see there's no difference.
Also, I have no clue how the X5 40i was at 4.9....I thought they were more around 5.3-5.7 sec? |

I imagine that both the X6 and X5 are probably spot on the same when it comes to 0-60 times. Haven't driven the X6 to back it up though.
As for 0-60 in general, times are all over the place, especially for the 40i, but I think Car and Driver had the best tested time, stating, "Sixty mph comes up in a scant 4.9 seconds." This was on P Zero All season. I feel like I read some other publication had tested the X5 at 4.8 0-60 and it was wearing P Zero summer tires. Can't remember right now though. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...rive50i-drive/ |
