435i startup quiet vs e92 335?

Hi all,

Just recently picked up a 2015 435i Gran coupe, previously had a 2017 330i that my lease which I just dropped off as the lease had ended. And before that I had my e92 335i. What surprised me is that the 435i sounds much quieter than my e92 335 was upon both cold start and regular startup? Both are stock systems is it mostly just cause of n54 vs n55?

Will post more pics but this is one I just took earlier. Carbon black with ivory white leather

I don't know why but I agree with you. I had a 335 and now I have a 435 and the 435 is much quieter.

Agreed...on my E93 one of my guys took off a vacumn hose at the exhaust to make it sound more aggressive but I have yet to see if my F33 has the same

There is an exhaust value that you can code to be open on in normal drive mode.

Nice pickup...I also got a 2015 435i GC back in March from BMW Langley and loving it so far (except for the fuel economy - hard to stay out of sport!). I plan to do a resonator delete first and see how it sounds, as I also find it too quiet stock but not ready to pull the trigger on an exhaust system yet.

I bought mine on January 2019. I put the M muffler and now I'm thinking to add an intake for it.

I'm thinking to do a resonator delete as well but not yet sure. Let me know the results if you did

My 2012 E92 335i was really loud but my 340i is louder due to MPPSK.
