Steering Rack Off Center

Ever since I picked up the X1, from new, one thing has really bugged me. It seems that the steering wheel is off centered to the left. I looked at the distance between the steering rack where it goes into the dash and sure enough, there is a smaller gap on the left than the right. Can anyone please confirm that theirs is centred or not?

I think you mean the steering colum through the firewall? More than likely the factory didn't align your car properly. Ask dealer to correct it.

Yes the entire column is off to the left. I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed it on their X1. Next service I'll raise it up to them.

If it's the actual steering column, within the car that is off centre (UK spelling!), I would take it into the dealer sooner rather than later because you can't be sure what strain/stress it may be putting on the steering system.
