No one can tell you unless you tell us what wheel you have, picture or style number will help. Also, original or aftermarket suspension?

I also have Style 189’s and run Michelin 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 and wouldn’t go any larger.

Are your OEM tires for your rear wheels 255/35/18 right ? Are you having any issue with 265 ? I'm just trying to order tires online and want to make sure 265 fits on 8.5 inches

They will fit but aren't recommended. 255 is really as wide as you would want to go. You can go up to a 255/40/18 and 225/45/18 in the front. Are you trying to increase traction or just for looks?

I’m lowered sitting on 19’ style 313’s and fronts are 235/35/19 and rears are 275/35/19’s. Had a rear flat up in Orlando back in April on a Sunday morning and I had 265/30/19’s on the rear and nobody had that specific tire size new/used but found someone who had the 275’s so I took the plunge. Only rubs when two ppl sit in the back.

Probably 265/35/18 is the widest you can go without rolling the fenders. That would be my guess. I know guys with M-sport suspensions can run 265/35/19 in rear but that's the limit without rubbing.

235/40/18 - front 265/35/18 - rear That would be a sweet set up for tires. You'll definitely notice the difference in the corners of a curvy road. |

I'd check with the tire shop to see if they will install a 265 on your 8.5" rim. Most likely you are ok. I have 255 on my 8" wide rims. FYI... If not, take advantage of a Black Friday deal on some rims. ECS Tuning has a nice stock of them to choose from. |

I’ve been running 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 for just over a year without an issue. I haven’t had two people in the back but have had about 250 lbs in photo gear between the back seat and trunk.

The issue of running a 265 on a 8.5" rim is not that you will rub, it's that it will handle turns worse.
