G21 M340i discounts
Car WOW are quoting 14% discount straight off the bat, I would be interested to hear what discounts people have managed to negotiate.

I've got a test drive booked tomorrow in an M340i. The test drive is a saloon but I'll be looking for the touring. Anyone got any updated discount/ PCP figures?

I would like to think we should see 20% off come the new quarter next year. |

Had the test drive today and loved the car. As others have said it just feels like an upgrade from my F31 in every way, and so it should! Played around in various drive and damper settings and it handles brilliantly. I liked sport drive settings and comfort dampers and for your average bumpy UK road this was great.
Test drive was in the saloon but they had an M340i touring just in that I had a look at, I'll be getting the touring. The initial offer was their carwow offer of 12% off a factory build and 14% off a car in the network. The salesman said if I was ready to go he could push that a bit more but I didn't get the feeling he'd be able to go as low as I hoped. I think I'll be waiting for the next quarter and if I can get 20% I'll be on it. That or 2.9% finance to give me the right figures. Great car and I look forward to getting one, just needs to be the right price. Portimao Blue with shadowline plus looks amazing in the tourer! They also had a 330 tourer in Dravit, I liked it but it wasn't clean and lacked some spark and looked a bit drab You could tell it would look great if clean. Here's hoping for some better offers in the next quarter. |

I'm also looking at a G21 M340i but the best deal I've seen thus far is the one for just over 16% from TRL (already linked in post number 4 above). That's not enough to tempt me just yet but my F31 335d is still running fine so I'm happy to keep my powder dry and hope more attractive offers emerge next year; I'm with those who think discounts will be at 20% plus within 12 months but we'll see.
A dealer local to me has an M340i Touring due to arrive later this month and I'm keen to have a look at that as it's in potentially my first choice colour (Tanzanite Blue). I'm not sure whether they're intending to put it on as a demonstrator but if not they have a saloon I can try (providing they don't sell it that is!). |

I've had a dealer move a bit lower on a car in the network but it's still not low enough. Does anyone know if BMW UK work to end of March end of year figures? I'm also told by the dealer that is trying for me that car prices will go up in January due to inflation so may cancel out any possible lower APR. I've seen this as 'trying to get me to buy now' but does anyone know how the above works?

It's hard to know what the deals will be like but they'll only go one way on the G20, as right now on like for like engine basis the 5 series is cheaper after discounts. Also, if Brexit happens then I'd suggest the exchange rate will improve and that will help discounts even further potentially.

I was in past my dealer yesterday. He said there's a rumour BMW will be offering sales incentives for 3 & 5 series early 2020. He thought it would be worth hanging on until then before placing an order.

Fingers crossed, hopefully what I've been waiting for. A healthy deposit contribution and low APR would be nice!!

usually the best time to order a new car is end of november. i did this with three cars in the past years. also last november with the m340i. my discount in germany was close to 30%. every dealer here has to match a selling score to get benefit and subventions from bmw. so if the dealer is close to reach his selling score, but did not finish end of november... they start giving big discounts for the last few orders. carwow showed me at that time 20% to 25%. local dealer toped it. so i ordered.
the same thing happened when i ordered a nissan qaahqai in 2018. ordered end of november and got 28%. years before, i was ordering a volkwagon with similar discount. so thats my advise to you |

I noticed the first few dealerships I walked into, the sales people were barely budging on price - I think 9-10% was the highest discount I saw shopping this way.
I then started reaching out to dealers direct by phone/emails and landed on two who were ready to make a deal at 15 & 16% off msrp. Ended up with the following (this was financed and I had a trade in that they gave me a little less than average market value for) 61xxx msrp 51xxx after discounts/incentives (before ttl) |
