[Two Sheds]

I was coming home late this evening after playing soccer. I came off the 407 at McCowan and was waiting at the light to turn left and was in the right hand left turn lane at the front with a mini van next to me.

When the light turns green I accelerate pretty hard round the corner up to 60 (the limit) and then just cruise up the road at 65ish (maybe up to 70). As the mini van is catching me up I get flashing lights in the rear view mirror.

I pull over and the cop was nice and just asking if I was in a rush, I just politely replied I was heading home after soccer. He said I came round the corner pretty quickly to which I just sort of nodded. To my relief he then just reminded me I was in a 60 zone and to drive home safely.

Yep there are some pretty nice cool cops out there

Well, it wouldn't be the first time a cop tried to f someone over even though they weren't breaking the law. For the most part, Police =

under the current "racing law", the cop could charge you with stunt driving for going around the corner too quickly.

whether or not this can be proved in court is another question, but you will be without the car for seven (7) days for sure if he press charges against you.

If you were in Vancouver, I bet they would ticket you cause most of the cops here are just asses

Last weekend in the evening, I got stopped at a "seat-belt" check/roadblock and the stupid cop gave me a ticket for the front window tint. I was in a bit of a hurry at that time and the cop was taking his sweet-ass 15mins to write the ticket in his car. After that, he comes over pretending he's generous and all that bs and says he could've given me a $300 fine for having a license plate frame. He then tells me that he wants those tints pulled off on the spot otherwise, he will give me a vehicle inspection ticket. He also says that if I get pulled over again before my vehicle inspection, they can give another $600 ticket.

Yes, I did have illegally tinted front windows that were 50% tint. I ask the cop out of curiosity why they don't permit front tinted windows like the states. He says that they do so that they can see if people are carrying guns in their car. I'll pay my damn fine but I mean come on, which dumbass crook would hold a gun so that it would be visible by cars beside them.

Don't know how its like in TO, but the cops here are so ridiculous. Come on, 4 cops standing on the side of a street checking on seat-belts on a Sunday at 6:00pm? What a waste of resources man. No wonder the crime rate here is still high compared to the rest of Canada

Anyways, just trying to vent a bit :P

and be out of pocket for the impound fees! That's the thing that pisses me off about that law, by all means confiscate guilty (as found in a court of law) persons cars for a week.

Anyway I think he probably just pulled me over because he thought I might be some kid street racing possibly in daddies car. Are young drivers allowed to drive at night here?

Here in MTL the cops don't pull u over for going 10km/h over the speed limit.....i always go 10km/h over the speed limit even infront of the cops, they don't even bother giving u a ticket.
