X6 M50i dealer discount

Hi guys, what are a good discount on a custom ordered X6 M50i with a MSRP of 102k? I live in NY/NJ area, ask several dealers but the highest is 7% off MSRP. Most dealer won't do more than 5% and some even ask for MSRP. I am paying cash to purchase the car, no financing or leasing. Thanks

Your discount seems pretty decent but I'm sure others will chime in. What you probably want to do is finance the minimum amount (around 7,500 - 15k) and then pay it off in three months or so and you will be able to take advantage of the $3,000 credit they give you for financing.

I am in upstate NY and just leased an X6 M50i (custom order) for 8.25% off MSRP (with standard MF/RV). All of my research focused on leasing, but I determined that 6.5% or more off the MSRP of the new X6 M50i is a good deal. I did have to shop at two dealers to negotiate that discount. You should get the rebate and any applicable loyalty credit on top of that discount.

Thanks for letting me know... Sigh, how can a cash buyer become an disadvantage. Such a price discrimination

Too bad...

that I only got 2.99% ARP and $1500 off $100,200 MSRP. I thought we cannot negotiate much discount on bran new model...We have placed the order, can I still negotiate? Can I get a better deal?..

I already got 2.99% ARP on my loan. Can I still get the $3000 ARP credit?

When is your car expected to land

I submitted my credit app when I put in my order. My CA told me that whatever is better between when I submitted and when I finalize the purchase (a week or so before PCD date) is what they will go with. No need to reapply.

Well credit locks only last 60 days on the east coast.

90 days for west coast dealers.

Save this post and come back to it when you take delivery . Let me know how it goes if the programs got better

Yeah - I'll check back in. Rates were not discussed at that time. Just that we were approved. Since my wife and I have great credit, I just assumed I would get the best rate possible. Guess for me it doesn't matter much since the rates on BMWUSA have held steady at 2.99% for the last two months.

I guess you can back out of the deal but when I make a deal I like to stick to it even if I'm not legally bound to do so. I would imagine if the dealer changed their mind and said your price was higher you wouldn't like it.

Not only that, I see you are in Washington and have seen that discounts can be hard to come by in your area so you may have gotten a decent deal in your region.

I'm looking at 6% but won't be ordering till late February 2020. My lease ends May 20, 2020.
Hopefully other incentives are available between February and prior to me taking delivery. Your deal is great!

My M550i took 3 months but it came from Europe to the East coast. The dealer had no problem extending the deal. You do have to submit the application up front.

Price discrimination, it's an Econ term. I learned about it in my MBA.

Can we apply Costco discount after placing an order? If so, how?

Following up on my previous post :

Just finalized the paperwork today for my PCD delivery next week. Got all the incentives and the 2.99% rate without having to submit a credit app (at least I didn't have to fill out another app). I placed my order and OG credit app on 10/14.

Not just the northeast, its the entire country! I need an M50 allocation for a sold client and there isn't one available in the entire country! I don't get what the problem is. Up until the last week or two you couldn't get an M340 allocation either
