17' 162 rep pics???
Anyone have pictures of their mounted 17' 162 replicas? I've seen one picture here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=16476&page=1 already that has them, but it's a touring E91. I'd like to see them on a regular E90. Thanks.

That's interesting. Judging by the size of the sidewalls, they do look like 17" 162s. You know that the stock BMW 162s are 18", right?

Yeah, I know that OEMs are 18's... That's why I'm curious to see pics of 17's mounted. I'd like to see how they fill out the wheel arches.... The reason is that the roads are really JACKED-UP here in Vegas (especially I-15), and I'm not sure how well 18's will hold up.
Just to give you an idea, a few weeks ago there was an actual man sized hole on the I-15 N. Not a pot-hole... An actual hole that went all the way through the bridge to the street below... |

This site sells the 17s also. I'm thinking this would be a good winter wheel so my car will look the same all year around.
http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com...bmw-3-17.shtml No idea how good these wheels are though. |

shoot they look like the real deal (i.e. 18" 162s)...So the OEM 17" A/S RFTs (as on 159s on 330/325xi Sports) would fit, right? I mean we can have the look of the 162s and still enjoy A/S RFTs?

nevermind, I saw on the lakeshore site that they offer the OEM Bridgestone EL42s A/S RFTs package (wheel and tire) for about $1,500....any experience on wheel strength/weight. This maybe what I am looking for

Plus, you can throw some spacers on the back of these to give them a slightly more aggressive look. 15mm perhaps. |

I have a similar concern with DC roads, plus a big consideration for A/Ss as I simply do not have space and weather here ocassionally demands it.
Really very interested in these wheels...gonna research them up. Thanks for bringing this up. I love the 162 looks on the e90.... Some spacers in the rear will give it a nice factory staggered look, 15mm Rogue engineering sounds right...

Probably a silly question, but if they are replica's, how do they get the BMW logo in the middle(or is the middle part separate from the wheel itself)?

The replicas come with 'wheel center caps' ... you can find replacement wheel caps on ebay to fit many aftermarket rims

we were thinking along the same lines...the wheels are described as made to OEM standards...
