How can I stop this headlight washing function???

I don't want this squirter squirting whenever it feels like it. It is spraying blue fluid all over my clean white hood! Besides, only the pass. side seems to be working. The following is copied from the manual........

Clean the windshield, headlamps
Pull the lever.
The system sprays washer fluid on the windshield
and activates the wipers briefly.
In addition, the headlamps are cleaned at regular
intervals when the vehicle lights are switched
on.

Being an avid Rain-X user, I forget I have headlight washers since it never gets activated.

Every week when I clean the car, I see the headlight washer doors and wonder about them. They've never activated that I know of and I've yet to need them (haven't driven the car in the mountains at night during winter tho...).

Why do yours keep switching on? Lots of night driving?

If you spray the windshield while the headlights are on the washers will activate.

I just turn the headlights off before I spray. I can't code my car with Carly or Bimmercode because the checksum for my FEM is corrupt. The apps can't figure out what software version I have, so they won't code the car. It's simpler for me to just turn off the headlights for a moment. Sadly, I can't code out start/stop but I rarely forget to push the button.
