Did 4 series ever get digital dash

I am looking for a replacement for my wife's soon to be totalled 2016, and she really likes the digital dash. I can't find any used with it.

Was wondering if it came out super late, or is just really rare?

Thanks

I don't know about the 19s and 20s but before that there was the digital dash with the partial circles. That is what I have on my 2018 530e. I prefer it to the current version as it gives me traditional round gauges (however, my dealer updated my software so I have to have my car recoded to get back the Alpina display which is what I really like).

Pretty sure that's a no but you can retrofit a 6wb cluster if it's new it's pretty easy. They go for about 1600 with coding on kies motor sports. eBay has deals from Russia for 1k but if it's not a virgin dash it becomes a huuuuuuuuuuge pain.

Yes, they were available in 2018 MY upward as an option.

It might not be listed on the options on used cars.

Would need to check by VIN decoder.

But even them, a rare option.

yes, like others have said but it's definitely going to be a rare find on anything used. It (if I'm not mistaking) was a small $350 option that I don't know that the majority of people would check off. I ordered it on my '18 3-er and it was beautiful, but I don't tremendously miss it on my '19 4'er, which I bought off a lot.

It was started in 2018 MY. It was available as early as June 2017 as an option in the US. I know because I was able to literally add it as an option the week before production in June 2017. So even the first cars leased with it won't be turned in until July 2020. You'd need to find someone that traded in a 2018 or 2019 within 1-2 years for it to pop up on the used market. I doubt that would happen.

Already answered, but I can also confirm - offered as an option from LCI (MY2018 and later). That was one of my "must have" requirements. I personally can't stand the extremely outdated analog instrument cluster design in BMW.

It can be retrofitted however, but beware there are some requirements for that. Refer to the "F30 DIYs and Coding Discussions" Subforum for further info and look for "6WB".
