New member-looking to buy a 340i xDrive

Hello! I've been lurking for a while and have read a bunch of threads about the 340i xDrive. My wife really wants one. The lease on her Audi A4 is up soon, so it's time to find her another car. We had an '04 330i ZHP, which she loved. She drove the 340i and really likes it. So, my hunt for one is in full swing. I'm focusing on the 2017-18 cars. Has anyone had any luck getting a decent deal on these? Mid to upper 30's is where I'm seeing most list prices. My inquiries so far have led pretty much nowhere. What helps my search is that I can travel most anywhere to buy one (I have a lot of PTO to burn!) Any tips or advice on this car are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

These cars are getting off lease or you just may find a good deal on some unsold from dealers. Word is they need to unload for the new G20. Do note warranty has now somewhat changed since the good ole bimmer days. Factory warranty is still 4yrs/50k mi and does not include maintenance. Factory Maintenance ends 3yr/36k mi and does not transfer to second owner.

good low mileage cars in the low 30s. That said; options are what will take the price.

Side note. You should test drive a non m-sport versus the m-sport. The M-sport seats are a little harsh on the back; so be mindful of that. Happy shopping.

Also maintenance covers fewer items than before.

I suggest to look for a vehicle with M Adaptive suspension which will improve handling behavior on xDrive vehicles.

Are you looking for a vehicle within driving distance from your home?

I'll travel pretty much anywhere for the right car. Wife wants the saddle interior which narrows the search considerably.

I have a 428xi with M Sport. I find the suspension just the right balance between comfort and sport. No adaptive, just whatever they fit the M-Sport with.

Maintenance won't cover anything if OP is getting the car used.
