Maxed out on bolt ons. Whats next?

Before i get started, here is a list of my current mods on my 2012 328I "sport" with M/T.

Dinan Dual Core Intercooler
Dinan Big Turbo
MST inlet pipe
ER charge pipe
Mishimoto CAI
Wagner down pipe
Muffler delete
GFB DV
JB4 (Map2 normally / map 7 when running E30+)
45mm Vent Boost Gauge

Stock motor
Stock Clutch (CM FX350 soon)
Stock Flywheel (CM Lightweight Billet Aluminum Flywheel soon)

I was wondering what i should do next? Once i get the new clutch and flywheel, i'm basically done with the "bolt ons" available for this car. I plan on either bagging or coilover-ing the car at some point but am focused on pure performance as of now. I haven't made it to a dyno yet but plan on making a trip this upcoming summer or whenever i can.

Ive thought about upgrading the pistons and rods but so far the motor has not shown any signs of not liking the power it has now. I also want to invest in good oil cooler as im sure the stock one isnt performing as good as it should.

What kind of power are you pushing with the Dinan turbo?

I think he's ultimate goal is just to spend money. Without a dyno... this is just about spending money.

I guess I could help you spend that money....do custom body modification i.e wide body custom, custom paint, cf hood, cf trunk.

better yet, if he's throwing money around...ditch the N20 and go B58 or S58

This. If you're that hungry for speed, you need to start with six slugs.

In this case, it makes sense to say he should've just bought an n55 and dropped the same amount of money into as this 328i. Everyone has preferences, but a tune n55 is faster than all this he did into his 328i.

Hahah... of course the n55 will be faster but who in there right mind will race two different cars. Stock class vs tube class drag race, have you seen one.... lmao.

Stock class vs unlimited class... have you seen one.
Gt300 vs gt500 .... have you seen this race.

Let me know please. Maybe the OP want to enter a circuit.....lol

First, you need some suspension and chassis work to effectively put the additional power down. Second you need some additional suspension and chassis work if you want the car to be fast in anything but a straight line.

First- springs/dampers or coils
Second - bushing work ( ts and lca, rear sub)
Optional - more camber up front via 30min hubs, f80 LCAs, or camber plates, sway bars, LSD

Also what do you run for tires? Boot some good rubber on.

Sure goals to build the most fragile engine in the world. Wait till you blow the motor and then build it only to make barely 350whp and probably blow it again. With the money you spend on it, you could own a n55 or B58.

Its the answer we always give because it's the right answer. Stop throwing thousands of dollars into the car that you could probably use for trade in.

We do all that back in the honda days... yup fragile. Barely make 250 hp ... that was fun. Or a stock SR20DET couple with gt28rs makes 420hp... boost at 3800 rpm... then make a 11.9 sec 1/4 miles pass. Yup those are fun day.

Come on man might as well say you start with LS1 and drop a turbo on it. You sound like a big block head like most of my friends with camaros, mustang, chargers or corvette. Why stop with a 6 cyclinder.

Those are different though, evo motors can go 500+whp stock motor, some Hondas can as well, so can the motors in the gla45.

N20/n26 is not a tuner motor unless you're willing you spend over 15-20k on it.

What's the record 1/4 mile pass on them? We never see it here because most of the guys go and buy a b58, N55 or S55.

If you can make this motor go fast, by all means go ahead.

Stop at 6 cylinder because everything is more affordable than the 8s, and not to mention most places have more taxes on big blocks.

This is basically why we play with 4 cyclinder. My S14 silvia pushing 390hp map 1 and make 25 mpg combined. Yup like you 6 cylinder is affordable...some of us like 4 cylinder.

But the OP seem to not have a goal

Interior upgrades? Custom seats with half roll cage for style or for track use... nothing wrong with a 4 banger... and people say get the 6... rather get the 8... like to each they own... Yal hating and criticizing too much than appreciating the build... a lot of Yal lost that passion... now it's get a 6 and if it ain't pushing a minimum 500 then they ain't doing what they suppose to.. all I can is that the 4 banger is more reliable than the 6.. speed wise it's decent when tuned.. and it's great to have over 5/600+ horses but we ain't got the roads to do that over here without cops posted up everywhere.
