Picking up my M340i tomorrow!

I've been negotiating with the dealership for a week. Car will be ready for pick up tomorrow. Any advice from you BMW veterans for pick up day? Anything I need to keep an eye on or make sure of before I drive away?

Make sure you get a long time with a "genius", not a salesman. I hate to say it, but most sales people are ignorant about a lot of the newer electronic goodies.

This.... or set up an appt to come in to learn about the car. I left the dealership when I got mines with basic knowledge of the car from the salesperson (he didn't know much). Call in and asked to make a BMW Genius appt which helped me a lot.

This too lol. Or you'll definitely be having to go back to sort out some of the glitches and bugs. Make sure to post some pics for us and welcome to the club.

If you're trying to keep your paint in the best condition, don't let them wash it, and do the first wash yourself (or professionally to inspect the actual paint). Paint is never really perfect, but those Dealer car washes don't help at all.more importantly, make sure they don't drill a hole for the front plate on the bumper, lol. Congrats on the new ride!

You may want to check that you have the latest version of iDrive 7 by going to settings, general, software update to see the current version.l It should be at least 7/2019.55 or greater.

Have a play with this to get a bit of familiarity with the software...

Make sure you check the alignment. Hold the wheel completely straight and see if the car tracks left/right. Mine was substantially off and apparently it's common.

Wish I had remembered to make sure mines didn't have a front plate bracket installed when I went to pick it up. Was excited over the car that I totally forgot about it when I went to pick it up. Came home and a few days later realized there was a bracket drilled in lol (I was pretty sad about it to say the least).

Oh trust me, I made sure to call them multiple times to remind them not to do it!
