Driver assistant failure/instrument cluster blank
On the way to the train station this morning I was on cruise control, running on electric, suddenly the instrument cluster when black/blank and the cruise shut off. I initially thought the car was doing a reboot as it started slowing down. It then popped up with an error on the central screen saying driver assistant fault, driver assistant no longer available.
Anyone seen this before? |

Not so good.... thankfully not had any issues yet.
Did you have to do a reboot on Idrive to get the screen back?

I've had the driver assistant error but it was absolutely hammering it down and assumed it was something to do with rain and spray affecting the sensor. When I restarted the car it disappeared.
Also had the information screen stop working and go blank. Again a restart seemed to resolve it. Never had the instrument cluster go out though. |

I've had DA cut out on the motorway in torrential rain when the steering wheel flashes yellow and it disengages because it can't see the lines clearly. It disengages later than I would if I was trying to see the lanes! This was something else, as if it had had a software crash and did a re-boot... |
