Catted Downpipe Power increase?

I have a 435i with BM3 stage one. What kind of increase in power can I expect if I add a catted high flow downpipe? I am interested in a VRSF pipe.

You will definitely get a power increase because there is less back pressure on the turbo and the BootMod3 Stage2 tune will take advantage of it. Upgrade your plugs to NGK 97506 gapped down to 0.022". Change them every 20k miles after.

Power will increase but not by much, you need to run stage 2 to feel the increase. Or better get a custom tune

johnung, FCP Euro lists the NGK 97506 as not compatible w/ the 435i N55. Same goes for ECS Tuning. Do they have it listed incorrectly?

I would recommend verifying fitment on the manufacturer website:
https://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=41489
97506 is compatible with all N55 / S55 / S63TU

The NGK 97506 are listed on the Pro Tuning Freaks web site. They are compatible and I've ordered them. Once I get the DP and plugs I will be tuning with stage 2 or possibly custom.

I'm also hoping the car sounds better. It sounds ok now by just way to quiet.

We offer the 97506 and 95770. The reason another website may not show them as compatible is they require gapping which most end consumers don't do/aren't used to. It also could just be outdated information.

There are dynos out there showing a 20-25whp/wtq gain by simply adding a catted DP (Fabspeed) and no tune. My M235 picked up a nice gain with the HJS Euro 6 300 cell DP. There's a good bit more throttle response and the sound improvement is worth the price alone.

I concur especially on the stg 2 map I noticed a stark difference when I added the fabspeed cat. Beast on the E30 map.
