Question Memory seats vs. Personal Profile

I'm about to order a 325iA E90 LCI (EU version) with electric memory seats but without iDrive. The dealer seemed not 100% certain if the memory seats would automatically move the seats to the memoryzed position when I open the central lock using the key. They claim they can assign memory "1" to key#1 (it would be my key), and they can assign memory "2" to key#2 (my girlfriend's key), so when any of us opens the car, the seats and mirrors will move to the customized position belonging to the right person/driver. BMW calls this feature "Personal Profile", but it's not clear (from their marketing material) whether that feature is available without iDrive. Does anyone have a 100% sure answer to this?

Thanks,
Fiery

Seat/mirror memory settings have nothing to do with IDrive.

The basic principle of memoryzing seat/mirror settings is obviously independent from iDrive, since you can order memory seats without being forced to also order iDrive. But I wonder if the Personal Profile feature that assigns memory settings with car keys would work without iDrive or not.

If you have memory seats or not each key contains its own settings. Settings such as drls blinkers and mirrors. Each key has its own personal settings regardless of idrive.

Regardless of iDrive or not the seats will not automatically move, you have to hold down on the memory button located on the side of the driver's seat.

I don't think even convenient access has this feature.

JK,

The seats WILL move as long as you have the power seats with memory option. You can go into the customization menus when the car is parked and change the setting for the seat. The option is to move them either when the doors are unlocked OR when the the door is opened. But the seat will ONLY move if it is out of the assigned memory 1 position. You guys can try it. put your seat into the 1 position and then shut the car off. Move the seat back a few inches and lock the car. Then when you unlock it or open the door (depending on your setting) the seat will move back up to position 1.

I stand corrected but was half right, it will only move the driver's seat. Just checked and my iDrive setting was set to Deactivate, reactivated it.
