Satin Dark Graphite Metallic

Howdy!

Just wanted to post some photos of my new car. First time BMW owner. Just got this 50i a month or so ago, it was someones order but they ended up not wanting it so I got a good deal on it.

First two photos are the original paint color and the last few are with it wrapped in a full body satin clear bra.

Im still figuring out what to do with the grill/exhaust trim. I had some silver pieces vinyl wrapped when they did the clear bra but I think I'm going to keep the wheels so not going to a completely dark look.

Also, I hate the running boards and will replace them once I find regular side skirts.

Black out the grille and the exhaust pieces. Color looks awesome.

How much was the wrap? (Is it a wrap I'm not clear)

wondering how high maintenance this will be. I know some ppl with with satin paints hate it b/c it's so hard to keep water spots off of it and they look dirty all the time.

I got 3 quotes in the Dallas and they ranged from 5-10k. I paid on the lower end. I did pay extra for the black out and protecting the headlights. It is a wrap, but it's the thicker film that you'll normally see people use to protect the front bumper and hood of the car, I just had the film put on all over and in a satin finish. So I would be protected from door dings and whatnot. It's thicker than your usual vinyl wrap.

Its not even a week and I somewhat already regret it. Haha. ITS SO HARD TO KEEP CLEAN. I think i'm going to Ceramic coat the film. On my past vehicle I ceramic coated it, and hit it with he water hose and it managed to get most of the dirt and water spots off.

The running boards are crap in my experience. They are too narrow to assist with getting in. Most people step around them rather than use them. They might work for children.

Looks very sharp. I think you got it right. I wouldn't black out any more. A little bit of chrome in a few places looks good.

Wow, that's a great looking color result!
Good luck keeping it that way
I was thinking on doing the same on my mineral white to turn it satin white, but there are no good wrappers down here in Costa Rica, so it's a no-go
