im not gonna lie, i feel so bad for my car. im 19 and i floor it every time at every stop light or everywhere. i dont know how my engine takes so much abuse.... a no, i dont go to high speeds in urban roads often, i just love the acceleration on the car.

The rev limiter is imposed at a point where you really can't do any harm to the engine. Don't worry about it. If anything, wringing the engine out is good for it from time to time. Or so I've heard. I'm not an expert.
