Dyno day

Took my car to the dyno today to see where I'm at. Bought the car with a full Dinan set up. I take, exhaust, "big turbo" which is really just a different compressor wheel, intercooler and tune. Dinan says 450 crank I assumed it'd put down around 360-380 but the dyno jet read 300.

Now that is higher than stock number and my butt dyno along with how well I did against my friends 300awhp GSX eclipse, is telling me it is higher but no where near 400.

I'm happy with the number though since I have all the bolt ons to bring the power up higher. I just need to know which direction to go next. I think I want to just take the Dinan tune off (as it appears to do nothing) and go with BM3 stage 2 and then just go catless. PS2 turbo may be in my future if 380whp ever becomes boring to me.

What are your thoughts? I did confirm the tune was set to stage 4. It's a rwd car 6MT. 90°F day.

Best run was 299.74WHP and 255TQ

I don’t know much about the Dinan tune and components but 299whp seems really low.

My point exactly. It's definitely above stock power as I've done a run before with an m4CP and it didn't pull as much as I thought it would. But Dinan claims 450crank so about 380. I didn't hit anywhere near that and this is on a dyno jet mind you.

I'll have to look into some stuff. You'd think with all those bolt ons and a tune it'd be good for at least 380wheel right?

Agreed that those numbers seem low and would guess there is a boost leak somewhere.

Do some logging and make sure everything is running how it should!

I'd guess in the 360whp range though

I should definitely log it. It'll run that smooth even with a boost leak? I'm relatively new to boosted cars so I'm not sure just seems like it would run as good as it does with a leak

Yes it will run fine if there is even a small leak and it will affect the target boost so yes get some logs!

Is the tune turned on? You could just be running stock boost.

Tune was set to stage 4 I confirmed it multiple times prior to my runs. I'm going with the poster above a suggestion and I shall try to track down a boost leak.

My Car made 277hp and 270tq at the wheels when stock on a dynojet .. id say your not making any boost over stock.. but it must be making some.

Yeah the low TQ is also confusing to me as well... I'm making 20 more hp than you but less TQ... sounds to me like a tune trying to make boost but a leak stopping it

Ignore, I didn't read. You clearly said dynojet.

Did you do a run with and without the Dinan?
