Number Plate Surround

One of the few things I dislike about my BMW is the way the number plate is screwed into the bumper.

I was thinking of getting some pressed metal plates and fitting them into these:

Anyone used these? They are on e-bay and although quite expensive they are plain black.

Imo plates taped to the bumper without any surround or screws is the cleanest look.

I’ll be asking the dealer to tape mine on, don’t want it to be badly screwed on

I've seen painted reg plates onwhite cars is that legal. Ultimate clean look. Not very convenient.

Not certain it’s illegal, but I thought the background had to be reflective.
