Reset tailgate rubber stoppers?

Anyone know the default factory setting for these rubber stoppers on the tailgate?

Does the tailgate close properly? If it does, suggest don't bother trying to adjust.

Agree with oakey46. If you don't have any issues, leave them alone. But, I did have to adjust mine slightly cause I was getting a secondary thunk recently, which appeared to be due to the rubber stoppers being too far out. I made a few turns inwards and it eliminated the thunking noise.

Attached pics of how mine are set now.

If you need to adjust them, just screw them in or out (just a little bit at a time), until the door rests against them without rattling.

There's no 'default' position as such, presumably they're adjusted for each individual car. Yes, despite the so-called precision robot assembly in Germany.
You should see the warp in my front doors
