Tested: e90 wheels DO fit on e46s (in this application)
Great news, everyone! <professor from futurama>
With winter over, my RGRs went back on the e90 and I tried out the 161s on our e46 2000 323it. I really needed them to fit, since I have Blizzacks mounted on the e46's oem 16" rims. Anyway, they fit! No rubbing and certainly no spacers needed. I was a little worried about the ride quality. This car has only had 16" allseasons or snow tires on it. Now with 17" summer runflats there is a bit of tramlining and and, of course, over harsh bumps the ride is harsher. On 90% of the roads the ride is fine.

Can you provide a pic that shows the wheel protrussion? I am just curious how they sit since there is about a 10mm difference between E46 and E90 rims.

Does this mean that e46 wheels should fit an e90?

Of course, 15" wheels that fit on an e46 323i wont fit on a e90 330i, but most 17" and up will fit the 330i and most 16" and up will fit the 325i. The rears may look a little tucked.

not sure if you can answer this question...anyways, my friend has a set of aftermrkt 18s from his E46. Will these fit my E90? I'm guessing it should fit but need some expert advice.

So far, all applications for the e46 (that I know of) will fit the e90. 16"+ for the 325i 17"+ for the 330i The rears may appear tucked. Find the size of the wheels/tires and use the application at the top of the screen.
