BMW Canada Contact?
For all who've seen my Drive Belt Failed posts, you'll know I had what should have been a minor issue with my X5 that was handled pretty terribly, resulting in my vehicle being off the road for two months.
Is anyone able to assist with a contact at BMW Canada or BMW North America? The BMW Canada rep who was handling my case has completely dropped off the radar, did not follow up with me as promised and is now dodging calls and not returning voicemails. Given that he verbally promised a "financial settlement," I'm not about to let this slide. If anyone can suggest a contact by PM, that would be great.

The dealer has now come forward with a proposed settlement (basically a refund of two months' lease payments, which I don't view as remotely acceptable). It's very odd that the dealer handles this, but they explained that they negotiate the figure and then it gets processed as a warranty claim. Seems like a way for BMW Canada to wash their hands of any direct involvement in the discussions, which again tells me they don't stand behind their product or their dealers.

If it was my business, I would be OK with offering the customer four months of lease payments rather than two.
