G20 LED headlights

Can someone help me understand what you actually get.

Literature says all UK spec. G20 have adaptive LED headlights is this correct?

Also I see there is an option 5A4 which says “LED headlights with extended features”. Can anyone tell me what this gives you?

I’m not considering the visibility pack as I don’t use full beam to often and therefore the price is prohibitive. They do look good though.

I believe it's adaptive LED and LED with laser high beams

The laser lights are on the visibility package only in the UK

5A4 appears to be another option in the UK.

After speaking to a BMW genius it appears that standard option 5A4 “LED Headlights with extended contents” appears to be adaptive LED headlights in the UK.

So is this ticked by default for UK spec cars?

On my order it is under Standard options.

I’ve ordered a 330i M Sport with extra packs but I do now believe it is standard.

I was confused between “adaptive led” and this option but as stated it appears to be the same thing.

Thank you for that link....

So looks like std. LED has no HBA. Can you only get that with the laser light upgrade?

Yes, HBA is part of laser light pack along with 'dancing' high beams.

Do you at least get headlights coming on automatically when it starts to get darker with the adaptive LED? As much as I’m looking forward to the 330e arrival it’s perplexing that I’m losing features on a £40k car that are standard on a Mondeo.

It does seem money grabbing that HBA is only available with the visibility package on the G20. I would be prepared to pay for it but not the £1500 to get it with laser lights.

My nearly 7 year old F10 520D Msport has it with xenon lights.

Exactly, it's just an inducement to get folks to stump up for the Laser lights... My 2011 Peugeot 508 had HBA as standard...!?

My 330e has Standard Leds but has the HBA option in it.

HBA is a £120 option you can purchase after delivery and delivered on line. Visibility pack has HBA already included

Yep this. Although I'd say HBA on the standard headlights is a pretty pointless way to spend £120, as all it will do is literally turn the high beams on / off for you, whereas with Laser Light it will give you the adaptive beams

I added HBA to mine the day I got the car 3 weeks ago, ordered via Connected drive delivered to car about an hour later.... cost £160 and works great apart from it is not always on by default, you have to press the switch now and again

Does the HBA option just turn main beam on and off or does it also give you the selective beam function so you can see past a car in front without dazzling them or keep verges illuminated on full beam without dazzling a car coming the other way?

Just high beam on and off on the standard lights

Ah ok, so to get selective beam you still need to have the Visibility Pack and laser lights?

Yeah - all the standard adaptive LED lights do is work with the steering.

HBA is not an option on all cars. Mine doesn't have it, and I can't add it which is fine as I am not a fan of it.
