CR Spotless Water System Question
New to the BMW world and really enjoying getting into cleaning and detailing my and my wife's cars. We are about to get ceramic coatings and I have been using a pressure washer with one of the Chemical Guys Foam Cannons. I went one step further into the deep end and ordered the CR Spotless Water System. For those of you who use this, do you hook it up for the entire washing, or just the final rinse?
I have seen both ways. Some things I read noted how it can conserve some more water in the foaming stage, but others things I have read said using only with the rinse leaves the final water on the car mineral free and therefore spot free after drying. This makes sense and would lengthen the resin lifespan, but wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience whether it works as advertised with using only at the final rinse. |

I had one used it both ways and put it in the trash..... It didn't help with my hard water, and it couldn't keep rate for my pressure washer. I think it would work great for a simple two bucket system wash though... I now have a Kinetico whole home system installed and have a connection from inside the garage that I use for the whole washing process. I couldn't be happier. I also would recommend when you do try it, use it for the whole process first and see what your results are, I hope it works for you though!!

I do the initial rinse unfiltered, including the washing of the wheels. Then switch to the resin filtered water for the wash / finish. I do not use a pressure washer. The systems are not designed to provide enough volume for a pressure washer.

I saw this video but could not find the product on amazon. I bought another pink cherry smelling cleaner. Seems to work but I’m almost out and looking for advice on another wash product.

I use this often and have great results! It works just as well as he says. I dilute it with water at like 8 to 1. I was able to special order through O'reillys Auto Parts around $19, I think? Really improved the drying process and best of all no water spots!

It is chemical guys car wash shampoo. I guess that was kind of expensive also. $20 for a 64-oz bottle of concentrate. I’m using it with a foam cannon on a hose, not a power washer. Worked great on all the dried on bugnuts too. It works well on my car as well, but I really don’t have anything to compare it to. |

I went back and forth with the retailer who sells the wax on Amazon, asking them why they charge $50 when plenty of other stores sell it for $20. They just tried justifying their price without a good reason while I went elsewhere |

Anyone in the UK has an alternative to that wax? There's several products that claims being 'drying aids' but if anyone has experience on one...
There's 5L 'demon shine' that might work?

I have the CR spotless system and so far it works ok. There are still some water spots although much better than using my regular water. I have used with and without pressure washer and it doesn't seem to make much difference. My pressure washer is electric and only uses 1.7gpm. I think the key to making the CR system work good is low inflow from the source hose. To much inflow and the system can't keep up.

No issues with my CR spotless (Model DIC-10). I only use it for the final rinse with my pressure washer. I can get about 6-8 washes before needing to replace the resin.

Ohhh fun! Have you tried it yet?
I washed my car today for the first time in weeks. I’ve been keeping it out from under the trees, but it was pretty well spotted up with tree stains and bug splat. I couldn’t get the little spots off with my cleaner and mitt, so I actually used my fingernails to get all the spots off the hood. Before you freak, my nails are not long and they are kinda soft as butter. I’ve been redorating our guest house, working every day for the past week, with cleaners etc so my nails are even worse than normal. But they got those annoying little brown spots off right nice. |
