I’ve just taken delivery of a UK spec X5 30d and am very pleased so far! Haven’t got the July iDrive update though, but all the systems seem to be working so far.

I’ve seen videos online which show the ambient lights flashing red when the door is opened. However mine stay whatever the ambient lighting colour is. Is this an option I’m missing or a setting or something?

car must be running I believe, at least it works when mine is on, not when it's off

I believe you have to set "Dynamic light" to be ON under interior lighting.
