Remote 3D View: Image Stitching
Has anyone else noticed that Remove 3D View is not doing a very good job with stitching images from all 4 cameras or is it something only occurring with my car? It happens to my image view from every angle - forward-left / forward - right / rear-left / rear-right

Generic issue then, thanks!!! I don't understand, it's all in software to render it properly. Why is it so hard to make it right? Oh well, we already know that software is not the strongest quality of BMW

I always thought you had to manually tweak the stitching in these sort of applications to get them to look good and this is of course automated. The panoramic function in the iOS camera app also has artifacts and is again automated.

I can’t even get this feature to work at all. It’s shown in the connected drive app but there’s a note saying I have to enable the feature in the vehicle settings. When I checked the vehicle settings it’s already enabled!

Make sure vehicle has your profile created that matches one you are logging into with Connected Drive BMW app (same Email etc.) I had same problem initially. Also it looks like Connected Drive app was recently updated in Apple store and now same reminder about creating profile pops up when you are trying to use this feature.

The sideview cameras are fisheye lens type and those are prone to artifacting/parallax error on the edges. Not sure there's any easy way to address your concern without adding additional cameras.

You can't really make a clean 360 view without the lens sharing the same nodal point, meaning that the focus point of all cameras are the same. In the case of a car, they are wildly different, so it's pretty much impossible to stitch a seamless view unless the image is at infinity.
You CAN 'approximate' and reproject individual images together and get better results, however it requires a much much fancier software, with feature detection etc -- doing so in real time would require a ton of processing power. In other words, considering the hardware limitation, the software is actually doing a pretty damn good job.
