BMW Advanced Car Eye 2.0 Install

Hello,
I am looking into having the BMW Advanced Car Eye 2.0 dash cam installed.
Does anybody have an opinion on them?
How long/how much does it approximately cost to have that installed?
I called the dealer and the rep could only tell me the cost of the dash cam, but nothing regarding estimated installation cost.
Thanks.

Last time I checked on it I was told 1.5 to 2.0 hours of labor.

Among relevant existing threads as I initially looked at the BMW option but happily went with a BV:

I looked into this with my BMW dealer. They wanted 300+ to install Car Eye. So i went with Blackvue and did most of the work myself.

Does installation of dash cam like Blackvue by third party void vehicle's warranty? I have extended maintain program that cover battery replacement, not sure whether or not BMW will still honor the battery warranty if adding dash camera with power magic pro.

Thank you for the replies.
I did see that Blackvue is very popular, but I would have to find somebody to install it.
I thought it would be easiest if the dealer installed the BMW dash cam when my car is there to fix the cornering light issue.
On the plus side, all of the sudden Carplay works again.

Consider the Garmin Speak Plus. I use that and am happy with it. It's the sleekest, least obtrusive one I could find, and it blends in well with the rest of the car's interior tech. Plus you get Amazon Alexa added to your car as a bonus.

I do not have the extended warranty and my dealer has complained about the BV draw on the battery which on occasion triggers an alert about electronics and the battery. However, the truth is that there are many draws on the battery that have nothing to do with my dash cam.

I had my dealer's electronic shop do the BV install in part to address warranty concerns. They installed the power magic pro. I later asked about the BV battery and they talked about installation complications and no significant gain in avoiding an occasional battery alert.

You are able to get the Blackvue battery pack and you do NOT need to hardwire anything.

Just plug in the battery pack into cigg lighter and you are all set =)

FWIW i found that all switched fuses in the cargo area and front passenger kick panel + the cigarette lighters maintain 12+V for ~10 minutes after the ignition is turned off. This means that the battery pack will continue to draw power from the car battery during that delay. It is about 9A (BV) draw for 10 minutes which is not much.

I have the battery pack installed and do not have issue so far. I wish I can have that delay removed, at least for the cigarette fuse that I tapped into.
