Stock 50i... 1/4 Mile

Hi all,
Had the opportunity to take a couple passes in my X5 last night on the 1/4 run.
Respectable performance considering it was a last minute, sporadic urge of mine. Temperature was about 80 degrees, average humidity, 1/2 tank of fuel and BONE STOCK. Plus all my gym bags and stuff in the trunk.

Best run was 12.6 @ 108.

The car next to me that did 13.1 was an X3 M40i with JB4 Map 6, Catless Downpipes, Intake, and E30.

My take away: Where the X5 impresses most is 4th gear on. It pulls hard at the top end. With JB4 and some other supporting mods, plus a better launch, this car is capable of high 11's.

Do you happen to know what your 0-60mh was by any chance?

Pirelli Summers mounted on 21's (F:275/35 R:315/30)

If I had less fuel in the tank, and all my stuff out with a couple degrees cooler I'd expect to be in the sub 12.5 range.

20's would have less grip on the factory all seasons although being a little skinnier in the front might help, not sure

Tenac, are you having vibrations in your X3 40i that are felt via the steering wheel at certain road speeds? There is a thread on the X3 forum where quite a few have complained about it. Dealers seem to be helpless. A coulpe of owners had BMW buy their X3 back. I don't recall seeing you there.

No traction issue with the AS 20”ers. In fact I am getting 4.0 seconds 0-60mph with my first few attempts. I will shave that down with less gas in the tank and some other factors.

My buddy next to me in the M40 was having issues with the all seasons slipping on the drag strip whereas I was glued on.

Real world though, you're right. The all seasons are great.

Looking forward to seeing some official 0-60 numbers, please share

I've run a 12.5s 1/4mile on a non-drag strip (shhh ) but the grade was like 1.05% so draggy flagged it as invalid even though it can easily run low 12's stock on 93octane

Elevation, humidity, added weight, fuel all play a role here. As stated above, this is real world numbers. If I had taken out all my stuff from the car plus ran with the fuel tank near empty, that's at least 200 pounds.
Add in lower temperature and more rounds, sub 12.5 would be well in reach.

I did that on 91octane with a DA of ~4500ft

It doesn't surprise me that draggy times and drag strip times differentiate
I'd love screenshots of your times, as there's limited 1/4 mile testing on this car so far. Thanks

Initial Draggy times are at worst 4.3 seconds all day long and 4 seconds without using launch control and about a half a tank of gas. Just mashing the pedal and my wife can get 4.3 seconds and she doesn’t do anything but point the car.
Working on it and under 4 seconds will happen. I haven’t had the time with my X5 this summer as I am breaking in a new M2C. This fall when temps go down I will be able to get some serious draggy time with the X5 50i M-Sport. I am at 500ft and use Sunoco 94 octane. Under 4 will happen without a lot of work. The X5 hooks up extremely consistently.

Mystro is on point it's a fast, repeatable SUV. it's too hot here now for me to run some good times, 100+ in North Dallas (in town for the day) and 105 in Midland
