What color is this?

Hey all, looking into buying a X5 and trying to figure out what color this is. Description say Blue, but obviously isn't. Cant find another one this color even as a ordering option. Individual maybe? Waiting on dealer callback to find out as well. VIN decoder say PHYTONICBLAU METALLIC (C1M).

It looks like 'Melbourne Red Metallic' to me.

It looks like they have the wrong pictures, it is a blue X5 according to the VIN.

Look at the pictures starting with #9 and you will see the blue. Someone could have done individual on another one and they put those pictures up by mistake.

Yeah, that's interesting because it does in fact appear to be Melbourne Red but I don't see that color on either the US 2019 or the 2020 pricing guides in either the 50i or 40i and the pic is of a 50i.

There isn't a record of X vehicles with 490 special request paintwork. If it was 490 paintwork it would be a lot more than the 87K MSRP.

Also if someone with oil money decided to spent it on an individual 490 color, they would have ordered fully equipped. This one doesn't even have LED headlights with Laserlight.

It's a vinyl wrap. Just came back from the dealer. Not a very good job as you can see the blue in a few places

I couldn't find any wording or charge for the wrapping on their site but if you look closely at their pix....ha ha AndroidRobot figured it out. Seems a bit shady to me.

Since this dealership is located in College Station, home of Texas A & M University, this isn’t all that surprising. The school colors are maroon and about 90% of the cars sold there are that color.

I'm a Longhorn, but thought the color looked pretty close to Imola Red. It looks good from afar.
