BMW Connect

I am using Android, and keep having issue with Spotify app with BMW Connect.
It sometime work, sometime doesn't work.
Which force me to just use Bluetooth when I want to listen to Spotify.

anyone have same issue?

I wonder does the i-Drive software will fix this issue.

happens to me .. not sure how they are going to fix it since my software has not been updated in over a year even though new versions are out

I find it hit and miss too. It seems if I don't have BMW connect APP open and spotify on the phone then it wont work. Sometimes even with both of them open on the phone iDrive doesn't start the app anyway.

Same set up with Android and hit and miss for me too as to whether Spotify registers in iDrive.

Always go with straight Bluetooth connection to avoid frustration now.

Plus it means I don't have to face the other bug of steering wheel controls not changing tracks on Spotify; whereas they do on standard Bluetooth connection.

Yup. I see Spotify icon and its hit or miss. I just do default Bluetooth like my f10. 15K honda civic can do android auto and Spotify no problem each time and BMW just doesn't care about android or any support.

It’s not just Android, the iPhone Spotify support is flakey as well. I regularly have to pull over to sort out the phone because it and the car are confused as to what I’m trying to listen to.

Note: This is iDrive, I don’t use CarPlay.

yeah, very disappointed on BMW on how bad they fail in now a day basic function.
