New 330e MSport ordered!

Right, after months of faffing around, finally felt I could make a decision on what to replace my current 330e with... another 330e! Seems support is up, and my company has helpfully upped it's company car rates. Also, the new BIK rates of 12% seems good too, and with 30k miles per year to do, going company car, rather than opting out seems the right thing to do.

Can't wait till the tourer is available unfortunately, so will need to go with a saloon.

I've a generous allowance so the spec is:

330e M Sport in Portimao blue, with Oyster interior

Premium pack
Technology Pack
MSport plus package
Driving Assistant Pro
Heated steering wheel
Extended Storage pack

Would have loved Visibility package, but adaptive LED as standard seems fine, but I will miss the HBA.

Comfort package also took me over allowance, so will do without comfort opening and powered boot.

Have to say I'm pretty happy, as it's got pretty much all the spec I'd want.

No idea how long it will take, as needs to go through ALD and my company approval systems, but I'd guess late Autumn.

Nice spec, I ordered one too, only concern with it is the very small fuel tank and short range. On the motorway if I drive at around 90 mph, I don't believe I can make even 250 miles between stops.

I can't see it being too much different to my current F30 330e, which will never do less than 300 miles on a tank. Using for our normal 100+ mile daily commutes we get 43mpg and 350 miles between fill ups. I'd expect with the better battery the new one will take that to 400. Even on long trips at high speed I think it will do 350 miles.

During the week from home to work since I can charge it daily I will use only electric 80% of the time, so range is not a problem.

But in big motorway trips, when the electric motor does nothing at around 90 mph (max allowed speed in my country) I don't think that 350 miles is possible, at an average of around 33 mpg and with only 40 liters tank, a max of 250 miles should be possible between fill ups, but I hope I'm wrong. I never drove a F30 330e so I don't know how much fuel it uses at that speed, but I'm guessing 33 mpg is more a less realistic

Congrats.
Few of us F30 owners now already in or ordered a G20.

I'd say you're going to be wrong. The engine alone at 90mph will average better than 33mpg, ours certainly does. The electric will still be helping overall economy at that speed, even if it couldn't run on electric alone.

Not me. I'd live it to be bigger, but it's a compromise I can live with for the other benefits. I still get a better range from my current 330e than my M4!

However we are going to buy a diesel for my wife, as she does 110 miles each day too, and 500 mile from a tank will be nice.
