ASR Exhaust Dyno

This is the exhaust I am waiting for and for good reason, look at the gains on the dyno. This is a complete exhaust from the headers back. It is looking more and more that the E9x M3 is going to respond just fine to mods, 400+ wheel N/A should come in no time with headers and software:

I am hoping I can get a baseline dyno before I install the Eisenmann Race exhaust, crossing my fingers that the gains are similar to those seen here. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe I read that after much testing Eisenmann engineers determined that replacing the intermediate piping would yield little to no gain. Either way, impressive results! If you haven't already, look into the ASR intake scoops as well!

Not to burst your bubble, but the Eisenmann muffler won't really provide anything other than the sound. The ASR exhaust eliminates the secondary cats as well as giving higher flowing primary cats.

Maybe the Eisenman engineers literally meant just the piping not the cats. Improving the flow of the cats coming right off the header is a great place to pick up power.

Yes of course! Eliminating or replacing the cats would definitely yield power, but I believe they were referring to the piping itself. I will definitely consider high-flow cats once they are developed.

I am sure there will be plenty of hardware stores like Bunnings that will sell "downpipes".

:edit: OK, are the ASR sports cats going to be sold separately? I.e. can I use the factory muffler or an Eisenham sport catback system with the ASR down pipes (sports cats)?

Pretty impressive gains, regarding the comments from Eisenham engineers, there is a common saying, 75-80% of performance gains are made in the first 20-25% of the exhaust system...of course if the OEM system is free flowing then there isn't much point, but deleting the secondary cats will definitely help...

Here's me being a devil's advocate:

Is this a dyno done by ASR or was this done by an independent customer? I'd be anxious to see confirmed dynos from actual customers just to make sure the manufacturers claims are on the up and up prior to dumping a few thousand on something for gains that are diminished from what is expected based on the pretty graph above.

I doubt they will sell the cats separately, the system is 1 piece.

Since you seem like ASR's number one advocate, maybe you can drop a hint that selling the cats separately might be a good idea since a lot of owners already own the Eisenmann exhaust.

Here are some pics of the prototype. Hopefully 360 Forged won't mind:

I'm looking forward to both this & the Agency Power full exhaust.

+1 - I just want stock or similar muted sound (i.e. Eisenmann Sport)...

Given ASR have a catback system as well, I would have assumed the full system used the catback system and added the cats...a la Milltek with RS4 exhaust...

Nice looking exhaust. Any chances they will offer just the mufflers and piping to attach to the stock center pipe/section?

ASR does not release anything on time. Who knows how long the wait will be.

I wasnt going to say anything...but I havent heard much good!
Everything is on such a delay from them...I spoke with the owner in Sep/Oct, he said the exhaust is almost done...and his software would be done soon...and then short shifter in a months time...ohh..the scoops...waiting to be painted and then they will ship!

So far.........NOTHING!!!!!
I called for weeks upon weeks and never got call backs or emails...I was later told it was because they moved their facilities.

Sorry Abid, but blame yourself for this bad review!!

BTW, funny how "sticky" made this thread back in August, and now he writes "ASR Sucks" (makes you think what kind of company it is).

ALSO, funny how almost 5 months ago...they had a DYNO showing 30 hp gains...and here we are in mid-December...and the exhaust isn't even released yet!
