M50i build available on Costco Auto program...

Title says it all, you can build a 2020 X5 (40i, 50i, and M50i) on Costco Auto Program, but not the BMWUSA website. Oh, bonus is it gives invoice pricing side by side with MSRP.

Just tried it out...very nice....however final step reveals no dealers accepting Costco pricing in my area. I'm relieved my -8% from MSRP is close to the Costco invoice numbers

Thanks for sharing!

So are you guys offering invoice, plus 5% below msrp, and then adding dealer profit of $500-$1k?

And are allocations available yet? Debating seeing what the damage will be for the new X5M compared to my $98k M50i build. I know it will be significantly more and without a significant discount.

Nice, just used it to build a 2020 X5 40i. Spec’d out invoice was ~$72K.

I spec'ed out the M50i I plan on ordering in a month or two and was surprised to see the difference between invoice and MSRP was only $6k on a $99k (MSRP) build.

Tried it out as I am interested in a M50i. Hope it is not complete options breakdown. Would be disappointed if the $4300 Exec pkg was the only way to get soft close doors which I really like. I am not interested in the gimmick sky lounge. The fact I don't see M sport brakes as a option give me hope the Costco data is incomplete.

M sport breaks are standard for the 2020 M50i, $650 option on all other trims. Soft close doors are not an al a cart option in the pricing guide. From the looks of it the Costco build is pretty spot on.

Forgot about that, you are right on the brakes. Frustrating as they have plenty of stand alone options, but not for the soft close doors.

BMW is also now requiring the DA+ package to get ACC, when it (ACC) was a stand alone option on the '19. Not happy with their move to packaging bundles, I understand it saves BMW money, but I don't really want the $4600 Executive package for the three things it has that I want.

Well the Costco deal is supposed to be 8% off list. So even at the base price with no options the discount should be about $6500. So that dealer is not honoring the deal.

One interesting thing is that for M50i, air suspension and DHP are compatible, and DHP does not include M differential

Because for 2020, 2T4 M Sport Differential is standard on U.S. M50i.

That's odd. On the order guide it doesn't say getting DHP will remove M Sport differential (2T4).

The guide is not 100% on what things can be ordered together. You don't really know until the dealer fills tries to place an order, at least that's what happened to me.

I've been able to get $500 over invoice plus any loyalty and/or financing discount on all of my BMW's. The deal isn't bad on a new model, but see if they can't do better.

Yes you are correct. The BMW logic however escapes me. Many options are stand alone. Why they lumped soft close with a gimmick sunroof I will never understand.

As far as I know, there is not a set percentage discount for the Costco auto program. It depends on make, model and dealer.

My bad. I saw a banner on the Costco auto buying site that said 8% off MSRP. Checked again & that is for Audi only. I'm going to hold off a couple months, the deals will get better.
