Dealer told me its on the dock awaiting ship. Target is handover Sept. 1st.

Got vin number but strange.
The tenth digit from left is usually date code. Mine is “0”
11th is “5” and 12th is “p”.
Put whole vin in drivers guide app and it recognises it.

Usually a vin 10th digit is a letter date code, do BMW do it differently?

when did it start building? i placed order in april and still just says order received nothing else...

Sometime last 7 to 10 days.
I’m in Uk.
I cant track in uk dealer info.
Bmw uk did say delivery Aug 5th. But Awaiting Sept 1st reg.

You really need to check with your dealer. Production of U.S. bound X1s was stopped the first week of May because of the B pillar recall. No more MY 2019 production. Production of MY 2020 is also impacted by the B pillar recall.

i did almost weekly. he didnt seem to have any information, I usually found out stuff from reading bimmerpost and then telling him.
