low RPM vibration - 1st - 2nd gear manual
I have a new-to-me 2014 435i with a manual transmission -- exactly the car I've been wanting.
It gets a fairly strong vibration as it goes through 1,500-2,000 RPMs on acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear (gentle "around town" acceleration). The vibration seems to be primarily in or below the center console arm rest. I've taken all loose articles out of the arm rest storage, which helped, but the vibration is still there and still fairly strong. It has a Borla cat back exhaust which might play a part here. And it has some other mods that I would think are unrelated to this vibration. Any ideas about what might be causing this vibration and how to mitigate it? |

When I installed my axle-back it noticed that resonance at that rev range. I have a manual as well and I think this is just some drone that the exhaust gives. However, I don't have the same experience of my interior rattling when this happens, just a noticeable low frequency vibration
