Ordering M340i xDrive tomorrow, need opinions!

I'm getting it fully loaded, except for the cooling and tires package and maybe the driving assistance bits. I know I want the Tanzanite blue with the bi-color jet black wheels, but I'm sort of torn on upholstery and trim.

I definitely want leather but can't decide between black w/ contrast, black w/ blue contrast, or oyster. I hope to see the mocha in person but I highly doubt I'd like it. I have black in my 17 340 and it definitely gets hot, and I kind of like the two tone of oyster and the black dash.

I'm also debating on which trim I want, and have only ruled out the oak so far.

Somebody told me I could find people with opinions on the internet. Were they wrong??

+1 for Tanzanite with Cognac. I test drove one and it was a very nice combo especially with the open pore oak. I'd be torn between the cognac or oyster with the oak trim.

The open pore maple with the oyster looks nice too but I feel its more luxury than sport. I'll be okay on a non-sport 330i but I don't think it fits a M340i.

Can't go wrong with black and the aluminum trim. It's what I have in my 340i and it's easy to maintain but it gets hot and doesn't really stand out as much. Also I like how the ambient lighting has a more pronounced effect on the lighter color interiors.

Don't rule out Mocha. I have it with Dravit Grey and it is quite nice. 👍

We got AW on Mocha. Haven't seen one yet but I preferred it over cognac in the builder

Ordered tanzanite over oyster but thought the black with blue stitching was also very classy.

My rule is black paint with black leather and blue paint with black leather and blue stitching. Everything else looks disgusting.

We have Mocha on our blue X7 and it's very nice. Either black or black w/ blue stitching would look nice as well. You're going to get all sorts of opinions on this, bottom line, pick what you like. For instance, I'll never understand why anyone would pick Cognac on anything, but it's very popular

Wow, that's a strong opinion on every other color than black and blue!

I would add that the open pored oak trim goes exceptionally well with the blue ext/black+blue stitch interior.

My first 3 cars all had black leather, then i had to go SO with the M3. I think another color besides black adds character. But to each their own. Black is classic no doubt.

Picking it up at the SC Performance Center for a day of track driving their cars before driving mine home to Cincinnati.

The black grill and wheels here look amazing. Thoughts on the black wheels vs bi-color jet blacks?

I will definitely be getting my windows tinted, and I ordered the carbon fiber mirror caps, so the black wheels might be overkill. Or they could be perfect. Can I get the black grill at the factory or do I have to do it aftermarket?

You can't get that black grille anywhere but Canada it seems... pretty irritating really. It likely would be available eventually, but right now you can only get the old slat style in black.

I personally cannot stand the all black wheels. I think the bicolor look amazing.

I can't even get that at the factory though. I see mentions of port install but I'm not really sure what that is. I'm doing PCD if that helps?

The all black look way better than I expected but I'm sticking with bicolor on my order.

The only way to get it is order a replacement grey one, and then send it somewhere to get painted. I've done that with some of the glass black pieces, but the grille is crazy expensive to get painted...
