Re-using coolant

I have to replace my upper radiator hose today and I just put fresh coolant in it about 5 days ago to top the system off to make sure I didn't overheat since I have a leak. I will have to drain the system to replace the hose, but my question is, can I re-use the coolant since it's brand new or should I just go ahead and use fresh coolant since the original has already passed through the system.

Perfectly fine to re-use. Just make sure any containers or funnels you use are scrupulously clean.

It’s a good idea to have some extra on hand just in case you spill any while servicing the system. But if you’re just doing the upper rad hose and are careful, you should be fine.
