Cannot reset adaptations after sparkplug swap

Got my plugs changed at a local BMW specialty shop, and they mentioned that they were unable to reset adaptations after the install. Before taking it to them, I put my JB4 into Map 0 mode, and unplugged it from the OBD-II port. I also had the battery changed.

Just curious if the JB4 being connected still had any influence on that, and if I should be concerned, or if the engine will continue to adapt on its own. The missfire that I brought the car in for HAS disappeared though .

I searched through forum posts and couldn't find anything specific, but did notice that N54 cars with JB4 could have their adaptations reset through what they called the "1-7 method" or something like that. I couldn't find anything like that through the JB4 guide for F series cars on N54 post and was just wondering if anyone had any info.

Thanks!

Everything seems fine from the 30 or so miles I drove so I’m just going to ignore it I think.

Feel free to reply if you still want though
