New Wheels sizing?

Does anyone happen to know what bolt pattern or ET new wheels need to be for the 2020 Z4 M40i? I pick mine up this weekend and am looking for wheels. Unfortunately no one yet seem to have much information what will fit.

I thought I ready that the bolt pattern is a 5x112, but that is all I can find.

Thanks
Kevin

I just thought I could chime in and post up in here what I have learned about wheels for the G29.

1). no one makes 19"s that will fit (outside of OEM wheels) due to how big the brakes are
2) due to #1 I was forced to look at 20"s and placed an order with a vendor
3) during the ordering process it was said that I would need 255/30/20 tires on front and 285/30/20 on the rear.
4) while investigating tires, we found out that this car requires a minimum load rating of 96Y, yet there is no such tire in 255/30/20 that has a 96Y load rating, only a 92Y rating, which means due to safety no tire shop will mount a 255/30/20 tire on the 20" wheel to fit on this car.

which means back to the drawing board, either need to get a different width wheel that will offer a tire in the correct load rating, find a manufacturer that will make 19" wheels that fit and or just stick with OEM wheels.

who Did you contact for these wheels? Audiocityusa lists 19s and 20s, both staggered and square fitments. Reasonable prices as well. 19s will work on this car, just need lower offsets to pull the face of the wheel away from the hub. Meaning a 19x9et32 (factory wheel) is probably the highest you will want to go for a 9in or 9.5in wheel. Going to a 8.5in wheel you’d need to go with a lower offset than 32.

I actually talked directly to HRE, Vorsteiner, BC forge, Forgestar and acschnitzer.. Every single one of them said that their 19’s will not fit over the M brakes and that a 20 was the minimum that would fit.

Recommended sizes are

20x9 +25 (front) - 255/30/20
20x10.5 +35 (rear) - 285/30/20

Probably because their 19s aren’t low offset. A lot of their 19s I’ve seen are 30+ for the F series. Even Audi fitments are in the 30+ range and they have the same center bore and bolt pattern.

I ordered the spacer rent kit from ECSTuning and should be getting it tomorrow. Gonna verify the sizes needed to flush the factory wheels. While I’m there, I’ll see if I can get a diameter across to include the brake caliper. Usually 19” wheels are 19” wheels across the board. It’s the face/lip/concavity that causes wheels to not fit because the face hits the caliper, which can usually be fixed with spacers and lower offsets. If my measurements are correct for the spacers, front needs an 8mm and the back needs a 15mm, both requiring extended lugs then. But that also means that a 19x9et24 should theoretically fit in the front (but may require that with a flush face wheel design as well), and a 19x10et25 (again, possibly with a flush face design).

And when I say flush face design, think 370z nismo wheels.

Looking at AC Schnitzer's website, the 20" wheels they're offering for the g29 are high offsets and they specifically state that their adapter pack is required, which is a large spacer, 16mm for the back and 20mm for the front.

Front wheel: 20x8.5et43 +20mm spacer makes et23
Back wheel: 20x10et50 +16mm spacer makes et34

Also, the wheels are from f series cars which need high offsets, also a different bolt pattern so I'm guessing their adapters are bolt conversions as well

Looking at tire rack, they list 18", 19", and 20" wheels for the 30i with m sport brakes. Verified they use the same part number as the M40i: 34116891273

Same wheels listed for the 2020 M40i model as well.

Usually tirerack is good about their wheel fitments being guaranteed. :
