Port Installed Options/Accessories

Does anyone know, or have a list, or port installed options and/or accessories?

Our Z4 is almost at the final assembly stage. When I built my F10 M5 I had the black kidney grills installed at the port. Just wondering if there is anything for the Z4.

As far as I know, there are zero M Performance Parts at this point for the Z4 - other than CF Mirror Caps (supposedly the same as for the X2). Hence, no port installed options. That may change at a later point. Currently the model is too new (and it is a niche model).

How long did it take to get to this point?

That doesn't really matter because it all is determined by the production date.

Our car went into production (Status 150) on June 18th. Spec'd it out with the dealer over email maybe a week before that.

Was supposed to be a mid July production but go moved up.

Okay, I'm not really stupid - done this many times before. Guess I just didn't ask the question right.

How long from when you ordered did it take to get a production date?

And then how long from production to where you are at this point?

It has been 2 weeks since my order was accepted, but I don't have a production date yet, so I was curious.

Thanks.

Okay, I think I understand now.

From when BMW accepted the order it was about 2 weeks until it started production. I got my production number at the time of acceptance and was able to track the build on the BMW USA website.

If this isn't the answer you are looking for, it isn't you. It's me. I've been stressed like crazy lately and might been missing things.

Thanks. I have a production number but that's all so far. When I ordered my M4 it was 3 months from order date until production date. I was just hoping the Z4 might be quicker.

Thanks.

Your sales guy should be able to give you an estimated production date. Mine sent me a screen shot showing the info.

Here is the initial screenshot that I got about a week after specing the car. The car was originally scheduled for a 7/27/19 production date, then an estimated production date of 7/1/19, but ultimately it moved up to June 17th.

Sakhir, I ordered mine about a month ago in Frozen Grey like you and the dealer mentioned it had a tentative production date of July 23 if I remember correctly. He said they were likely doing the Frozen Grey's in batches and hence about a month longer than other orders. I don't know if that is accurate but passing on what he told me. Said it would arrive here in the Bay area for pickup early September

Yeah, my dealer has given me Week 32 (first week of August) as the tentative production date. I think that you are right about batching them. Makes sense. I had the same issue with the M4 when I ordered it - it was 3 months from order date to production.
