That's not good. Hope you got it sorted?

Car has been delivered to the nearest BMW dealer, will hopefully know what's going on soon..... (well maybe in a day....).

The connected drive app reports a serious drop in driving range and fuel capacity since being recovered - bearing in mind the car cannot be started as the clutch pedal/linkage is broken....

annoyingly, the BMW-Connected system does not allow for previous status information to be recalled, nor does it allow screen capture on the phone app - so I cannot prove my statement about suddenly loosing fuel!

This is exactly what happened to mine with 2000 miles on the clock.
The dealership had it 5 weeks as the parts had not been made yet!!

Hope you get it back a lot sooner!

This should never happen on a new car, and is obviously a faulty pedal box that needs addressing, and quickly!!

Wow, 5 weeks !, its been in 3 and half days so far and no news - will chase the dealer today for an update - wonder if this is more of an issue then they will let on.

Did they say what actually broke on yours?

The whole pedal box assembly had to be replaced. That arrived and was fitted within 2 weeks, it's the rubber pedal inserts that took 5!!

Looks like this could be a recall job! They told me if any more cases it would have to be looked at urgently.

I assume they’ve given you a loaner.
What happened about that paint chip on the bumper ?
Good luck with the repair.

Garage phone up today to say the clutch pedal is broke (just confirming what I told them), new clutch pedal assembly needed - 2 weeks to delivery from factory.

I suspect a few more will break in due course (recall ??)

so loaner via BMW Assist / Enterprise !

Mark on rear bumper - lease company and supplying dealer have gone quiet, I'll just have to live with it as its a company car - I'll just make sure they don't try it on at the end of the lease period

Car all fixed, a new clutch pedal assembly installed

Cannot believe that the linkage is a weak design - lets face it the clutch pedal is used a lot on a manual car and required every time the car is started so surely BMW tested this thoroughly....

I agree.
On my F30, I had trouble with the electric windows and door mirrors.
The F30 obviously is not the only BMW to have electric windows etc,
so why the problem ?

Having watched all the BMW video's of the cars being stitched and glued together by robots can only assume they have off-days same as us humanoids do . Restores faith in good old homo sapiens.
