Thrust strut?

Dealer wrote this down. I never heard the 'thrust' part before. I assume it just means the strut?

He's referring to the front thrust arm. It is the longitudinal suspension link in the front suspension that locates the wheel hub for and aft to the chassis. The thrust arm bushing can develop a leak and lose its dampening fluid, which requires replacement of the bushing. Most shops just replace the entire thrust arm.

Are you getting any vibration in the steering wheel when applying the brakes?

I think it's #9 on this diagram, link below to the realoem page (this is for my 2008).

It’s probably just leaking then. It’s a hydrostatic mount, as Efthreeoh mentioned.

Doesn’t sound too urgent to me.

You have to remove the belly pan, but you can check for leaking bushings easily as e90yyc suggested.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I dread removing the belly pan.. so many screws to remove
I managed to access the bolt on E90 by removing just the arch fender.

You need an electric impact/driver to make your life alot easier when it comes to removing undertrays/ panels.
