Style 162 square setup
Hey, I am curious if anyone knows if I can run style 162's all the way around with 255/35/18 all the way around? or? I want to keep a clean stock look on the car but I would like some more bite up front.
Thank you |

My current wheel (Apex) has an et of 45...and I am running a square 245/35/18 setup with a factory "M-Sport" suspension. That's the most aggressive tire they recommended that I could run stock without having to do anything such as suspension/fender, or spacer work. But that is also on a "1" series.

I had the same idea and placed the 255/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport AS3, 18x8.5 Style 162 in the front for a test fit and it ended up too close to the front suspension for my comfort. I ended up doing 235/40/18 on the 18x8 fronts all around with 15mm spacers in the rear to maintain the OEM staggered look. 335xi lowered on Koni Yellows and OEM ZSP D7/D6 springs. See photos for reference.

255's would be pretty close. I run 235's up front and they will rub if I'm too low. I've got pretty mad camber too to compensate for the increased size

I will do some more digging, I know on my E36 M3 the euro cars did not come staggered, they were only staggered for the US market. The car became so much better once it was squared up. Not sure on e90's if this was the same case
