Exclamation BMW Build Your Own/Configurator - Old Versions of Website and Models

I have been looking for ages for the older versions of the BMW Build Your Own/Configurator websites. I think that it would be really cool to go back and build out many of the older models, see all the different factory options etc. I believe the online tool came out around the launch of the E90 in 2005.

I've looked at websites like WayBack Machine and while I can view snapshots of certain webpages, there is no way to actually launch the web app that allows you to configure the car.

Does anyone have any insight on how to accomplish this, or if there are alternative tools out there? Thank you.

Bonus points if the "place order" button still works.

Not possible unless you have access to BMW's entire vehicle database containing all the archive information used for those type of webpage car configurations during those model years.
I remember that online car configuration function back in 2002 on the Nissan website when I was looking to buy the newly redesigned 350Z. Got the car I wanted with the options I chose.

Or, you can just borrow Dr Emmett Brown's time machine and go back in time.
