just go to mach iii since it's on the peninsula... and for the record "bay area" is so vague.

dont get it somewhere cheap.. they'll leave ugly air bubbles and air strips in your tints.. some places do it decently though.. I did mine at Omega Tintwerks in pleasanton, great place, I highly recommend it. Cost 380 for the ceramic though.

machiii.net is their website, and if you repost this in the california section, your bound to get a lot more info.

its a material used in some tint films. metallic has been known to cause interference with some radios and 'comfort access' in cars, so many people choose ceramic films which doesn't have that problem.
from what i remember, ceramic films are usually thicker and harder to apply. lastly, tint shops are all about the skill of the tinter--not so much about price.

well if you go to LA, the mean price is probably like 200 since there are so many shops that can tint and the workmanship is good.

my friend can do it for you out of his garage but it's in san jose. quality work and probably a lot cheaper than retail shops. he just did a client's M6 not too long ago. PM me if you're interested. his appointments are weekends only since this is just a side job.

it will not. metallic tint is what you want to stay away from.

i just called mach 3, they don't have ceramic tint though.
but the ceramic costs like 4xx in omega whereas the normal cost 200. i am using mainly the cell phone bluetooth to the car. not using radio much, so do you think i better stick with metallic? |
